When taking a picture of your ID, please ensure that camera permissions are enabled for the BGD app.
In addition, make sure of the following:
- Good Lighting: The image on the ID should not be too dark or too bright.
- Avoid Reflection: The image should not have glare or reflection. Please ensure the flashlight on your mobile phone is turned off.
- Focus / Sharpness: The image of the ID must be clear and free of blurred areas.
- Angle: The tilt of the ID image should not exceed 10 degrees in any direction (horizontal or vertical).
- Margins: The ID should fit within the frame and occupy 70%–80% of the area.
- Contrast: The ID image should be adequately contrasted against the background.
- Extraneous Objects: The ID must not be covered by fingers or other objects.
MyKad chip requirement:
- If the chip type on the back of your MyKad is less than 80k*, you may encounter difficulties during sign up.
