There are 2 types of users of BR Capital's platform - the Investor and the Issuer. The Investor is the 'lender' who invests in the campaign and the Issuer is the 'borrower' for the campaign. Below are further breakdowns and explanations of what constitutes each type or user.
Categories of Investors: Retail Investor
An individual who is:
• 18 years old and above;
• Malaysian who holds a NRIC or a non-Malaysian with a valid passport
• A tax resident in Malaysia; and
• Not an Angel Investor or Sophisticated Investor.
Categories of Investors: Angel Investor
An individual who:
• Is a tax resident in Malaysia; and
• Has total net personal assets exceed RM3.0 million or its equivalent in foreign currencies; or
• has gross total annual income is not less than RM180,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies in the preceding 12 months; or
• Jointly with his or her spouse, has a gross total annual income exceeding RM250,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies in the preceding 12 months.
Categories of Investors: Sophisticated Investor
• Any person who acquires any of the capital market product or Islamic capital market product offered or traded on a recognized market where the consideration is not less than RM250,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies for each transaction whether such amount is paid for in cash or otherwise.

Registration as an Issuer
A person or an entity that has a validly established business currently operating and registered in Malaysia by way of a locally registered sole proprietorship, partnership, incorporated limited liability partnership, private limited, public listed or unlisted public company is eligible to register with us as an “Issuer”.
