Who can use BR Capital’s debt fundraising and investing platform?
There are two types of users on the BR Capital platform:
Investors - individuals or entities who invest in campaigns (i.e. lenders)
Issuers - individuals or entities who raise funds through campaigns (i.e. borrowers)
Below are the eligibility requirements for each user type.
Registration as an Investor Any individual or entity who meets BR Capital's investor eligibility criteria and falls within one of the following categories may register as an Investor.
Categories of Investors
Definition/Requirements
Retail Investor
An individual who:
is 18 years old and above;
is a Malaysian holding a valid NRIC or a non-Malaysian holding a valid passport;
is a tax resident in Malaysia; and
is not classified as an Angel Investor or Sophisticated Investor.
Angel Investor
An individual who:
is a tax resident in Malaysia; and meets at least one of the following:
has total net personal assets exceed RM3 million (or its equivalent in foreign currencies); or
has gross annual income of at least RM180,000 (or its equivalent in foreign currencies) in the preceding 12 months; or
jointly with their spouse, has gross annual income exceeding RM250,000 (or its equivalent in foreign currencies) in the preceding 12 months.
acquires capital market or Islamic capital market product offered on a recognised market with a minimum investment amount of RM250,000 (or its equivalent in foreign currencies) per transaction, whether paid in cash or otherwise.

Registration as an Issuer
An individual or entity may register as an Issuer if they operate a validly established business in Malaysia, registered as one of the following:
Sole proprietorship
Partnership
Limited liability partnership
Private limited company
Public listed or unlisted public company
