How do I calculate Profit/Loss on the Bursa Gold Dinar (BGD) platform?

On the Bursa Gold Dinar (BGD) platform, Profit/Loss is calculated by subtracting the average cost of your trades (including transaction fees) from the current gold sell price, then multiplying the result by the amount of gold you currently own:

 

Profit/Loss = (Current Sell Price − Average Cost) × Gold Owned

 

Example:

  • Current gold owned = 3.00g
  • Average cost = RM201.67/g
  • Current sell price = RM202/g
  • Profit / Loss = (RM202/g − RM201.67/g) × 3.00g = RM0.33 × 3.00g = RM0.99
