Important Security Alert - Unauthorized Trading Activities

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia had received reports on Thursday afternoon, 24 April 2025, whereby a few brokers have identified failed client logins or unauthorised access and trading activities executed via limited clients' online trading accounts.

What are the fees and charges for using the Bursa Gold Dinar (BGD) platform?

Below is a list of our fees and charges. We provide affordable services with no hidden costs."

General Fees

  • Top-up Fee: 0.35% of transaction value (minimum RM0.10, maximum RM1.00) – Charged when depositing cash into the Cash Wallet. (Currently waived)
  • Withdrawal Fee: RM0.15 per transaction – Charged when withdrawing cash from the Cash Wallet.
  • Platform Purchase Fee: 0.20% of transaction value – Charged when buying gold.
  • Platform Sale Fee: 0.20% of transaction value – Charged when selling gold.

Gold Redemption Fees

  • Courier Fee: RM10.00 per box – Charged for delivering Bursa Gold Dinar (BGD) coins (up to 100g per box).
  • Minting Fee: RM73.40 per coin – Charged for minting the BGD coin.
  • Insurance/Takaful Fee: RM13.00 per coin – Covers protection during delivery.

Transfer & Safekeeping Fees

  • Transfer Fee: 0.20% of transaction value – Waived for transfers below RM200.00.
  • Safekeeping Fee: 0.50% per year based on gold holdings – Charged monthly for secure storage. (Waived until 31 Dec 2025)

Other Fees

  • Registration Fee: RM5.00 per user – Charged for signing up on the platform. (Currently waived)
  • Penalty Fee: RM5.00 per event – Charged for using third-party, joint, or corporate accounts to top up the Cash Wallet.
  • Dormant Account Closure Fee: The platform operator will notify users before closure, with a one-month notice. The remaining balance will be absorbed as an administrative fee.
