In the event of the account holder’s death, only the executor or administrator of the estate will be recognised as the authorised party to manage the deceased’s BR Capital account.
An executor is a person appointed under a will to carry out the deceased’s wishes, while an administrator is appointed by the court to manage the estate if there is no valid will.
Required documentation
To proceed with the administration of the account, the appointed executor or administrator must provide:
- a Grant of Probate (if there is a valid will); or
- Letters of Administration (if there is no valid will).
Account handling
Once the required documentation has been provided, the BR Capital account may be liquidated and the proceeds will be transferred to a designated account as instructed by the executor or administrator.
