Important Security Alert - Unauthorized Trading Activities

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia had received reports on Thursday afternoon, 24 April 2025, whereby a few brokers have identified failed client logins or unauthorised access and trading activities executed via limited clients' online trading accounts.

How do I keep my Bursa Gold Dinar (BGD) account secure?

To increase the security for your Bursa Gold DInar (BGD) account, we recommend taking the following steps or actions:

  1. Use a strong and unique password for your account access
  2. Keep your login information confidential
  3. Keep your device(s) up to date
  4. Avoid public Wi-Fi: Public Wi-Fi networks are often not secure, so avoid using them to access your trading account
  5. Be cautious of phishing scams
  6. Monitor your account regularly: Check your account activity regularly to ensure there are no unauthorised transactions or changes
