Minimum bandwidth depends on the protocol and usage. As a baseline, FIX order entry for 15 messages per second was recommended at approximately 300 kbps, FIX market data for 2,000 messages per second at 12 Mbps, and other market data protocols such as ITCH or MDF may be below 3 Mbps. Participants are strongly encouraged to scale their bandwidth accordingly based on their infrastructure, expected message throughput and business activity levels.
