BTS3 will largely build on the current setup, with enhancements designed to support future performance and scalability needs.

Infrastructure and connectivity

• BTS3 will continue to be hosted on-premise, consistent with today’s setup
• Participants will connect via Bursa Malaysia’s existing network arrangements (SD-WAN)
• Bandwidth and network upgrade requirements, if any, will be confirmed after the Design Study phase
• Decisions on Point-of-Presence (POP) will also be reviewed during system design

System specifications and planning

• The Design Study is scheduled from June to September 2026
• Message specifications are expected by September 2026, allowing participants to plan development effort and budget early

Drop-copy format

• Any changes to Bursa Malaysia’s drop-copy file format will be clearly outlined in the Technical Specifications
• Participants will be informed in advance to support any required updates

All updates and detailed documentation will be shared via the BTS3 microsite to keep participants informed throughout the process.
