The Futures Trading Apprenticeship Programme (FTAP) is an immersive learning programme brought to you by Bursa Malaysia Derivatives (BMD) and supported by the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF).

FTAP offers aspiring traders a fast-track to success! The 2-week programme conducted by seasoned professional traders is carefully designed to provide FTAP Apprentices with foundational knowledge on how to trade full-time in Malaysia's dynamic derivatives market. 

Programme structure:

• A two-day classroom session on theories and concepts of derivatives trading
• A ten-day hands-on, experiential session at the Bursa Trading Arcade located within the Bursa Malaysia premises

The Bursa Trading Arcade is equipped with trading infrastructure where apprentices can experience the daily routine of proprietary traders, refining their trading skills using a virtual trading platform under the coaching of seasoned professional traders.

Upon completing FTAP, you will have the opportunity to join a proprietary trading firm as a trader or become a self-employed trader.
