When a corporate action is announced, Bursa Depository provides the Record of Depositors (ROD) to the issuer or its Share Registrar. This record includes details of CDS account holders and the number of securities they own as of the lodgment date.

Using this information, the issuer determines each shareholder’s entitlement and instructs Bursa Depository to credit the relevant CDS accounts with the appropriate securities.
