The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia had received reports on Thursday afternoon, 24 April 2025, whereby a few brokers have identified failed client logins or unauthorised access and trading activities executed via limited clients' online trading accounts.
Please contact your broker immediately if you believe you are affected.
Bursa Depository is continuously striving to enhance the security of your CDS account. Designating relevant CDS accounts as Dormant will restrict unauthorised transactions.
An account is designated as dormant when:
a. There is a nil balance of securities in the CDS account; and
b. There has not been any debit or credit entry in the depositor's CDS account for at least thirty-six (36) consecutive months after the date of nil balance.
