Important Security Alert - Unauthorized Trading Activities

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia had received reports on Thursday afternoon, 24 April 2025, whereby a few brokers have identified failed client logins or unauthorised access and trading activities executed via limited clients' online trading accounts.

When do I receive the Central Depository System (CDS) statement of account?

Bursa Depository will send you a monthly CDS account statement if there were any debit or credit transactions in the previous month.

  • If there are no transactions but you have securities in your CDS account, statements will be issued twice a year—in June and December.
  • If your CDS account is Inactive, you will receive a statement only in December.
  • If your CDS account is Dormant or has a zero balance of securities, no statement will be issued.
