Important Security Alert - Unauthorized Trading Activities

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia had received reports on Thursday afternoon, 24 April 2025, whereby a few brokers have identified failed client logins or unauthorised access and trading activities executed via limited clients' online trading accounts.

Can the Issuer still apply for financing with BR Capital if its business is already receiving funds from another Peer-to-Peer (P2P) platform?

An Issuer is not allowed to raise funds concurrently/simultaneously for the same purpose on our platform and other Peer-to-Peer (P2P) platforms.

 

However, an Issuer may be allowed to raise funds on our platform and an ECF platform at the same time, subject to the Issuer complying with the following disclosure requirements:

  • Name of the ECF platform;
  • Amount raised or to be raised from the ECF platform;
  • Purpose of utilisation of the proceeds raised from the ECF platform; and
  • Any other information requested by BR Capital from time to time.
