If you fail to make a payment (whether interest, profit, or principal), a grace period of up to 7 days (“Grace Period”) may be granted at BR Capital’s sole discretion.
If a Grace Period is granted and you fail to pay the overdue amount by the end of the Grace Period (“Grace Period Expiry Date”), this constitutes an event of default, and BR Capital will commence the necessary default management and recovery actions in accordance with the Issuer Agreement.
Late payment charges
After the Grace Period Expiry Date, you will be required to pay the following on the overdue amount:
- For conventional Investment Notes, a late payment interest of 3.50% per annum plus the applicable interest rate, from and including the due date up to and excluding the settlement date; or
- For Islamic Investment Notes, a late payment charge on the overdue amount at an amount and in a manner as prescribed by the Shariah Advisory Council of the Securities Commission Malaysia.
