Important Security Alert - Unauthorized Trading Activities

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia had received reports on Thursday afternoon, 24 April 2025, whereby a few brokers have identified failed client logins or unauthorised access and trading activities executed via limited clients' online trading accounts.

If I do not have any hard copies of CDS statements with the six (6) digit password phrase, can I still register for Bursa Anywhere?

Yes, you can.

However, in the absence of the password phrase, you will need to do the following steps:
i. Register your email address with the ADA (Authorised Depository Agent, also known as “Broker”) where your CDS account is maintained. If you have more than one CDS account, you only need to register one of your CDS accounts with the ADA.
ii. Upon registration of your email address in CDS system by the ADA, you can download the Bursa Anywhere mobile app and register for a Bursa Anywhere account.
