Important Security Alert - Unauthorized Trading Activities

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia had received reports on Thursday afternoon, 24 April 2025, whereby a few brokers have identified failed client logins or unauthorised access and trading activities executed via limited clients' online trading accounts.

Would I get a refund on the subscription fee (handling fee charged by Bursa) and applicable tax (if any) if my transfer request is rejected by the Authorised Depository Agent (ADA) or the Offeror?

Bursa Malaysia will refund the subscription fee (handling fee charged) and applicable tax (if any) if a transfer request is rejected by the Authorised Depository Agent (ADA) (also known as a "broker"). However, no refund of the subscription fee and applicable tax (if any) will be issued if the transfer request is not accepted by the Share Registrar or the Offeror.
